Good daddy wanted to suprise his little princess (and his wife) with a fun cake for his daughter's birthday. He let me take the reins, and I guess it turned out ok. I don't like the quilting...should have thought that one out a little more before doing it!

Suprise Lindsey!
I got a phone call from someone who didn't plan a birthday too well, asking if I could do a cake...basically that night. (I had a previous engagement for the next evening when the dinner was, so that made it be due that night). Anyway, they told me to do whatever I wanted (which I hate), and basically this is what I can come up with in just a few hours. I actually think it was pretty cute! It was french vanilla with strawberry and bavarian cream filling.

Happy birthday Vinson!
If you love steak this much, you deserve to have your steak and eat it too...I mean cake. (OK, little boy had both...in one!) This turned out soo awesome! A nice t-bone steak, seasoned with "salt" and "pepper". (Good slab of fat along the side), with a side of "salted" green beans and mashed potatoes (made out of my cake bite "dough")and gravy. It almost looks good enough to eat! (And I'm sure it was!) The cake was a marble cake with bavarian cream filling.
Congrats Ryan!
Cake walk
I totally forgot we had a family reunion, and I was going to bring a couple cakes for the cake walk! So, the night before I quickly baked a cake, and whipped up some "adult" cupcakes (meaning, they were geared towards an adult palate! What were you thinking!?) The cake was french vanilla with raspberry filling, and the cupcakes were cream cheese chocolate filled with bavarian cream and frosted with marshmallow buttercream. I made the cupcakes "plain" and the cake bright so the darned kids would stay away from them! In the end, it didn't work...an 8 year old chose my cupcakes. Hope he enjoyed them!
Kennedy turned 2....too!
She loves piggies. And she's a girl. We went with pink and piggy themed! This was such an easy cute cake...all you amateurs out there, you can totally do this! (This was my daughter, and because I threw it all together the night before, I can't even tell you what flavors it was....I have a GREAT memory! I'm pretty sure it was a cream cheese chocolate with bavarian cream, and french vanilla with cream cheese/raspberry).

This cake captured everthing that a summer wedding should be! Light and fun and flowery. The photographer was awesome also! His name is Aaron Despain and you should definately check him out!

Another home run with buttercream! (Maybe I can do this!) Frosted "smoothe" with buttercream, but then I piped on the detailing so it didn't matter what it looked like underneath! Such an easy concept, and yet it is so pretty! Cream cheese chocolate with cream cheese filling, raspberry swirl with raspberry, and cream cheese chocolate with raspberry.
Sarah
Here is a buttercream cake I love....because it wasn't supposed to be smoothe! YAY! I loved having the tiers separated by the platforms and think it definately added something unique to the cake! The pin wheel flowers were made out of fondant and brushed with luster dust to make them a little sparkley. Bottom tier, cream cheese chocolate with bavarian cream filling, middle was raspberry swirl with raspberry filling, and top was cream cheese chocolate with bavarian cream too.
